Services Offered
Tunings
- 2 hours.
- $125 (tax/mileage may apply).
- Should be done every 6 months.
- If you’ve put off tuning for a long time, please read about pitch raises to see if you need one prior to tuning.
Pitch Raises
- 1 hour.
- $125 (tax/mileage may apply).
- If a piano is over 10 cents flat, a standard tuning can’t be completed without a pitch raise taking place first. If it’s been 2-3 years or more since your last tuning, the odds your piano will be over 10 cents flat are very high. A piano has hundreds of strings, each holding hundreds of pounds of tension. Moving one string will instantly affect the ones next to it. With a pitch raise, the technician pulls all the strings up and above the desired pitch to account for these changes. Without a pitch raise being done before tuning, the piano would not hold a tune. A tuning can be completed on the same day, immediately after the pitch raise.

- Time depends on the type of piano. Contact for estimate.
- This focuses on the interior of the piano and involves the use of specialized tools, an air compressor and vacuum to remove dust from all aspects of the piano and increase the longevity of your piano and action parts. Repairs
- Time and price of appointment depends on work needing done.
- We do not work on any “cosmetics”, meaning woodwork, finish, polish or lacquer.
- Repairs are limited to the action, string replacement, sticking keys and other mechanical parts of the piano.

Piano Inspections
- Looking at purchasing a used piano? Don’t know if your piano is worth servicing?
- A piano inspection is a comprehensive assessment of a piano that looks at the keyboard, action, strings, current tuning, sound and tone, structure, pedals, hardware and interior. It also includes a functional test to determine its overall playability, items that need attention and recommended services.
- Starting at $75 (Mileage may apply).
Regulation/Voicing
- Regulation involves meticulous adjustment of action parts to ensure an even and consistent feel across the keyboard.
- Voicing can be described as altering the shape/firmness of the hammer felts to achieve a desired tone from the piano.
- Pricing varies for each piano and its individual needs.
